Keep your kids active all year long


Make physical activity something for the whole family!

 

  • Talk as a family about physical activity as a fun lifelong way to take care of your body.  Try not to talk about exercise as a chore.  Remember-your kiddos take their cues from you!
  • Celebrate accomplishments with fun activities instead of food or extra TV time- think roller skating, rock climbing, trips to a favorite playground
  • Let your children choose the activity.  Organized sports are great, but there are so many activities children can do to be active that are not competitive- plus you can do it with them!  Follow their lead!
